Starting Point: The trail begins approximately 100 meters from the entrance to old Kakopetria, near the Petra tou Androgynou (Stone of the married couple). If you're already visiting Marina’s Rope Park, you can easily access it from there to the village.


Nestled on the west bank of the Klarios river, the Vateris Nature Trail provides a serene escape for nature enthusiasts and is easily accessible for visitors of all ages. This short yet beautiful trail is a must-visit when exploring the picturesque village of Kakopetria.


As you step onto the trail, you'll find yourself surrounded by a dense forest of plane trees, alders, and oaks, creating a cool and shady atmosphere during the summer months.

Visitors will also encounter the Vateri Water Spring. This ancient spring has provided water to Kakopetria's inhabitants for centuries, and its cool, crystal-clear water continues to offer refreshment to travellers today.


The Vateris Nature Trail follows the course of the Klarios river, with benches and wooden bridges along the path for visitors to pause and admire the tranquil surroundings.
