Hantara Waterfalls in Foini

The Hantara waterfall is located just a few minutes north of the charming village of Foini. Surrounded by stunning greenery, this magical destination is sure to enchant anyone who visits. The waterfalls are also part of the Foini - Iera Moni Trooditissas nature trail.

The waterfall is named after the Greek word "antara", which means "noise", and it's easy to see why. The water cascades down from a height of approximately 8 meters, gushing along rough, volcanic rocks, and forming small lakes along its course. The sound of the water falling, and the natural surroundings have a calming effect, making you feel as though your mind is resting and reviving. You'll be drawn to stay as long as possible and take in the natural beauty of the area.

The access to the waterfall is possible through a pleasant and short path, which takes visitors to a landscape filled with platans, pine trees and other hydrophilic plants. Located near the waterfall are the foundations of an old watermill that possibly operated at the beginning of the 20th century.

If you're looking for a unique and unforgettable adventure in Cyprus, be sure to visit the Hantara Waterfalls. Its natural beauty and calming effects make it a must-see destination.
